Walkers beats financial crunch with 110 new jobs

FMCG multinational PepsiCo is to invest £15.2m in its Walkers manufacturing site in Leicester, hiring 110 employees in the process.
The new positions are made up of 80 general operatives, 20 general support operatives and 10 manufacturing technicians, and “are suitable for candidates with varying levels of experience”, according to a statement from the company.
They will support the introduction of a new production line at Leicester making kettle-fried potato crisps, such as the Red Sky and Walkers Extra Crunchy varieties.
The Walkers site in Leicester employs over 2,000 people.
