The number of candidates placed into both permanent and temporary jobs in Scotland in March improved on the previous months, shows the latest ‘Bank of Scotland Report on Jobs’.
The bank’s labour market barometer hit 54.6, up from 52.4 last month, its highest level since the 55 mark of July last year.
Edinburgh was the city with the strongest increases in both permanent and temporary jobs, while the availability of both types of staff showed the most growth in Aberdeen.
All eight sectors saw a rise in permanent staff employment, while all but two – blue collar and hotel & catering – saw temporary staff numbers rise.
