Outsourcing firm Capita has announced that turnover for the first three months of 2012 was 17% above the total for the previous year, in an interim management statement.

It has also won £900m “major sales opportunities” in the period, compared with £2bn for the whole of 2011, which include the Recruiting Partnering Project (RPP) for the British Army.

The statement says that the firm has “confidence in good growth prospects and performance for 2012 and beyond”, with a “strong acquisition pipeline [which] provides us with excellent opportunities to further enhance our capabilities and generate additional value”.
