Lloydspharmacy today (2 April) launches a smartphone app to allow pharmacy graduates to gain a better understanding of what work is like at the firm, the format of its pre-registration scheme and access to the application process.
It also provides information on career progression opportunities, continuing professional development, the chances for secondments abroad and benefits available, including video interviews with former scheme participants.
Barbara Sutherland, head of capability at Lloydspharmacy, says: “We recognised that more and more students were preferring to access information ‘on the go’ rather than choosing to visit static careers sites or receiving emails from employers.
“The application is the perfect way for us to engage directly with students to help them understand a little more about the exciting changes afoot in the community pharmacy sector from people working in the field, as well as what support and help they can expect from our scheme.”
The application is available first to iPhone users and can be downloaded now via the Apple Store, and will be available for all android users later in the year.
