INTERNATIONAL Australia: Manpower claims ‘world’s biggest’ RPO deal with armed forces

Fri, 27 Apr 2012
ManpowerGroup has signed a contract to provide recruiting service to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) from November, worth at least A$400m (£257m) over five years.

The company claims that this “has set a record as the industry’s largest RPO [recruitment process outsourcing] partnership”, and notes that it could be extended to 10 years depending upon its success.
This contract covers the entire recruitment process, and follows previous collaboration between Manpower and the ADF in 2003.

As many as 40,000 candidates are processed annually for what can exceed 10,000 positions in over 300 job roles in the Australian army, navy and air force.

Manpower will manage two subcontractors – Corporate Health Group Defence (CHG Defence) for the provision of medical services, and Hewlett-Packard (HP) for ICT services.
