INTERNATIONAL Appointments: GM has Barrett for diversity

Tue, 24 April 2012
Global autos firm General Motors (GM) has appointed Kenneth J Barrett as its first ever chief diversity officer, based in the US.

He was previously the US Navy’s diversity director, “where he achieved historic levels of minority and female officer additions and transformational work-life balance initiatives”, according to a GM statement.
In his new role, he reports to GM’s vice president for global human resources, Cynthia J Brinkley.
