Contracts/Deals: Barclays funding supports Bright Purple

Barclays is now the sole provider of corporate banking services to Scotland-based international IT and finance recruiter Bright Purple.
This comes following the provision of a multimillion-pound invoice discounting facility by Barclays.
Colin Walls, regional director for trade & working capital for Barclays in Scotland and Ireland, says: “This deal is positive for Bright Purple but also the UK recruitment sector.
“At a time when competitors are consolidating and downsizing operations, it is fantastic to see a home-grown company thriving in the current economic climate. Bright Purple is a great Scottish success story: finding new opportunities to grow its UK revenues and also leveraging global business.”
Bright Purple currently employs over 60 people in its four offices in London, Edinburgh, Singapore and Vilnius, with the two international offices having been launched over the last year.
The firm’s founder Nick Price says he aims to grow Bright Purple into a £100m business over the next few years.
