Hernshead Group adds Skiez Recruitment to growing portfolio

The Hernshead Group, jointly owned by entrepreneur Lord Sugar and recruiter Tom Johnson, has added another recruitment business to its portfolio.

Headed up by experienced recruiter Marlon Bannister, Reading-based Skiez Recruitment finds talent for the data, AI, machine learning and robotics industry across the UK and Europe.

The new business joins the Hernshead Group, which also includes Hernshead Recruitment (advanced engineering) and Harlow Recruitment (sales & marketing).

Lord Sugar, joint director of the Hernshead Group, told Recruiter: “Hernshead Group continues to go from strength to strength and Skiez Recruitment is another great addition. I’ve no doubt Marlon and his team will do great and we’re looking forward to supporting them.”

Johnson, also joint director of the group added: “From when we first met Marlon [and Skiez Recruitment] it was clear they would be a great fit for the group and complement our existing businesses. I’m looking forward to supporting them in what is a really exciting growth sector both in the UK and overseas.”

Hernshead Group has grown to nearly 20 heads and is on track for a turnover of over £3m and more than £1m gross profit, according to a press statement, and continues to support and invest in both new and existing recruitment businesses.
