Marketing professionals back in demand, says Antal Russia
There has been a surge in demand for marketing professionals in Russia, according to Antal Russia.
Whereas last year demand came mainly from fmcg and pharmaceutical companies, since October increased recruiting activity has spread to other sectors, including retail, telecoms, IT and B2B.
“In 2009 the majority of our projects were to replace marketing professionals who left their company by a variety of reasons, whereas now we are making placements into an ever growing number of new vacancies,” says Ekaterina Bakhareva, the head of Antal Russia marketing recruitment department.
“There are plenty of vacancies at mid-managerial level, the most popular being brand managers. We again see a rising demand for PR and event managers. Also there is a growing need for marketing directors. Large fmcg companies have started recruiting marketing research managers very actively.”
