INTERNATIONAL: H&M to open 275 new stores
Retailer H&M is to open 275 new stores worldwide, which should create thousands of jobs, if last year’s performance is anything to go by.
Last year the chain opened 266 new stores, creating around 7,000 new jobs, according to its annual report.
The 275 new stores include the arrival of the chain in Bulgaria, Latvia, Malaysia and Mexico, while sister brand COS will launch in Hong Kong, Finland and Kuwait.
The firm currently employs 94,000 people and operates around 2,500 stores in 43 markets.
