Stopgap: profits up

HR and marketing recruiter Stopgap has announced an increase in profits.Profits after tax rose to £264,671 for the year ending 30 April 2008 from £113,385 in 2007. Operating profits fell slightly to £435,644 (2007: £452,739).Turnover fell by 5% to £28.28m. The company says this reflects the general slowdown in the economy.
