Government urged to offer more funding to improve care worker skills
A recruiter has urged the coalition government to provide further funding for skills development of care workers.
Paula Wilson-Parker, founder and registered manager at Availl, told Recruiter: “It would be fantastic to offer free funding for NVQ 3 qualifications. At the moment it stops at level Level 2 and for staff who want to improve the care they provide, it’s extremely difficult for them to fund themselves.”
For more from Wilson-Parker, see Recruiter’s healthcare sector focus, out Wednesday (26 May).
