Goodwill placements to win work
In a bid to seek out new business during the recession, a Milton Keynes commercial recruiter is offering clients one free placement every year over the next three years.
Paul Preston, managing director at Active Resourcing, told Recruiter that the ‘no-cost agreement’ could save clients between £10,000 and £45,000, depending on the placement, but expects the goodwill created by the offer to result in further business for his firm in the future.
Preston added that the proposal was being warmly received by potential clients. He said flexible schemes like this were necessary to show
empathy with clients struggling with cash flow.
He anticipated it may take three years to return to the buoyant trading of recent years but said there was no reason why the initiative could not work in a “normal” market.
