Freelance IT jobs jump in the finance sector
The number of job offers for contractors in the IT sector doubled in March, the third monthly increase in a row.
The research by pre‐employment screening firm Powerchex recorded the increase after a 30% boost in January and 11% in February.
Philip Fanthom, sales director at IT recruiter Jenrick CPI, told Recruiter the number of contractors the company has on its books has increased by 27% since the beginning of the year.
“It’s very encouraging. Clients who had strategic projects put on hold last year are now getting them signed off by senior mangement.”
