Financial services job offers rise

The number of job offers in the financial services sector rose 15% last month, according to data from Powerchex.
The data shows that job offers increased in a number of industry sectors, with stockbrokerage firms recording a 76% increase in offers on the previous month, while insurance firms and investment managers also seeing solid gains of 21% and 17% respectively.
However, hedge funds made 25% fewer offers, and IT contractors working in the financial services found 29% fewer opportunities compared to the previous month.
