Energy sector: Acre targets Obama’s green-collar jobs
Green jobs recruiter Acre Resources has opened a new office in Chicago.
Andy Cartland, Acre Resources managing director, says: “We’ve been working with companies in the US since 2006 on climate change and sustainability roles.” Growth in the region will be supported by President Obama’s pledge to create 5m green-collar jobs, he adds.
Martin Killeen, Acre’s chief representative in the US, says: “It’s great to be based in a city which is making active changes to lower its carbon output. With clients across the country looking for renewable energy and clean tech professionals, we’re looking forward to a busy year – despite the economy.”
