EMR appoints Bassett MD

Marketing recruiter EMR has promoted Simon Bassett to managing director.

Bassett was previously director and a former managing consultant at EMR.

EMR is part of the FiveTen Group which includes finance recruiter WH Marks Sattin, legal staffing firm Laurence Simons, IT recruiter Greythorn, Ortus in HR and Antal Russia.

John Rose, chief executive at FiveTen Group, says: “Simon has risen through the ranks and knows the EMR business intimately.

“He’s taken EMR into profitable new markets while maintaining our position in our core sectors of marketing recruitment.”

Bassett says: “No-one denies the difficulty of the current trading environment. We are well poised to expand and that is my task.

“On a personal note, having joined EMR nine years ago and worked my way up, I’m delighted and am really looking forward to the future.”
