Profitability is alive and well in the wonderful world of recruitment - and Recruiter’s 2009 Hot 100 proves it! This year stands out as particularly meaningful in the four-year history of the Hot 100 (based on agencies’ net fee income), because it reflects the successes of external recruiters as they came to grips with a serious recession after a period of unfettered buoyancy. So for reassurance that profitability is possible even in times of economic pain, see the 2009 Hot 100 - delivered through the expertise of Agile Intelligence and the generous sponsorship of RBS..
This issue of Recruiter is particularly research/information heavy. We conducted research into ‘The Future of Recruitment’ via recruiter.co.uk in September and early October, and we present the first part of the results, focusing on responses from agency recruiters, in our News Analysis on p12. A sense of optimism was evident as recruiters considered the way forward, and it was also clear that conducting ‘business as usual’ is unlikely. Technological advances are part of the landscape, but it’s the human part of the transaction where agency recruiters unquestionably expect to devote much of their attention.
What are your plans and aspirations post-recession?
