Eden Brown increases profits
After tax, profits at multi-sector recruiter Eden Brown rose to £1.01m for the year ending 31 March 2008, compared to £980,000 for the previous year. Turnover in the company’s core recruitment business grew by 7% to £53.7m.
The company says the results reflected a slowdown in contract recruitment during the year. This was most evident in the public sector, especially housing and local government finance.
However, the company reports it continued to see an increase in permanent recruitment, with permanent fee income increasing by 28.3% over the previous year.
