East Anglian energy division launch
Multi-sector recruiter Cooper Lomaz Recruitment is launching an East Anglian-based energy division in response to increasing demand in the region.
Sally Cleary, operations manager of Cooper Lomaz told Recruiter, the company has identified specific opportunitites in the area.
“I have spoken to the major players in East Anglia, the message was the market is buoyant and there are more vacancies and opportunities than candidates in the oil and gas sector.”
Cleary highlighted the creation of 4,000 jobs on oil rigs and the possibility of 24,000 more in renewables, after the area had been earmarked for development.
Cooper Lomez is working with trade bodies the East of England Energy Council and the Skills for Energy Partnership to identify ways of attracting candidates to the region and retraining workers from other sectors.
The division will be headed by Tony Duff.
