Driver Hire trains drivers to cut fuel consumption
National driver recruiter, Driver Hire, is training all its drivers in techniques to reduce fuel consumption.
The company calculates that by saving up to 27% in fuel costs, a category C driver covering 80,000 miles a year could save a client £6,700 per annum.
Driver Hire’s chief executive Chris Chidley told Recruiter: “With FED (fuel efficient driving) everyone’s a winner. It saves money for our customers, is an added skill for our drivers and, because it’s unique to Driver Hire, gives us a competitive advantage over our rivals. And of course it’s good for the environment too.”
