Eight in 10 construction firms have maintained or increased headcount, according to research from construction recruiter One Way Resourcing.
The research also shows that almost 30% of organisations have increased their permanent headcount and over half (51.9%) have maintained their workforce.
More than 70% of organisations have no plans to cut headcount during the next quarter.

I read these figures with interest and intrigue! As a HRD for a leading global construction firm, I must question this information and its source. Our organisation and close competitors all forecast significant reductions in headcount for 2011 to 2013. Always take agency speculation with a pinch of salt.
