CIPS/Markit: Construction decline “unparalleled”

February’s figures for production in the construction sector reflected a “substantial deterioration of operating conditions throughout the industry”, according to the latest Production Manufacturing Index.

CIPS/Markit’s index registered 27.8 points in February (with 50 equaling no change), after rising slightly during the previous month.
