Capita Group secures major contracts
Capita Group, the business process outsourcer and professional services company, has secured outsourcing contracts and renewals worth £767m in the first four months of 2009.

- Learning and Skills Council worth £68m over four years
- Office for National Statistics - to recruit and train all temporary staff working on the 2011 Census of Population and Housing in England and Wales
The company says it has “performed well” in the first four months of 2009, and that the market for significant outsourcing opportunities “remains buoyant”.
Capita says its bid pipeline, a snapshot of bids worth more than £10m where Capita has been shotlisted, stood at £3.1bn at the end of February 2009.
The company says it is looking to continue its strategy of small to medium-sized acquisitions, and that it expects to acquire further businesses this year.
“We remain confident that the areas across the group that are potentially affected by the current volatile economic climate represent less than 10% of our group revenues and this risk has been factored into our business plans for 2009.”
