British Gas seeks heroes to join its ranks

British Gas is seeking ex-servicemen and women to join its ranks.

Backing The Sun newspaper’s Jobs for Heroes campaign, British Gas wants ex-service people to retrain as experts, insulation fitters and engineers, adding it is particularly seeking high-calibre former military personnel to harness their self-discipline, motivation, technical know-how and great people skills.

British Gas adds that it has doubled the number of apprenticeships this year and is looking for “hundreds” more specialists.
