Barker Ross helps power energy sector
East Midlands recruiter Barker Ross has launched a power and renewable energy sector division.
The move is in response to increasing demand from its clients.
Barker Ross divisional area manager Jo Hendry says: “The UK electricity industry expects to invest £100bn by 2020 in new power stations and related infrastructure to reduce the risk of black outs resulting from power station closures across the UK. It also plans to expand the renewable energy sector to meet EU legislation.
“We have therefore been expanding our operations to supply contractors involved in nuclear decommissioning, new power station build contracts and renewable energy projects. The contractors we provide cover a range of disciplines and include technical design staff, project managers, engineering personnel as well as construction workers.”
