Asda creates 6,000 new jobs
Supermarket Asda is to create 6,000 new jobs in 2010.
As part of a recruitment programme alongside 10 new store openings and 10 store extensions, the new jobs are aimed at increasing the service levels on the shop floor and providing career routes into management positions for existing hourly paid employees.
Chet Kuchinad, people director at Asda says: “We are continuing to recruit on a large scale in 2010, with thousands of new opportunities to join Asda this year. With one of the lowest turnover rates in British retail, we have an incredibly motivated and experienced workforce and are looking forward to expanding this in 2010.”
