The Construction Industry’s Training Board (CITB-ConstructionSkills) has appointed James Wates as its new chairman, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has announced.
Wates takes over from outgoing chair, Sir Michael Latham at the end of March.
Skills minister Kevin Brennan says: “I am very pleased to confirm James Wates’ appointment as the chair of CITB-Construction Skills. His prior experience of working on the board and with other skills organisations means he is well placed to lead the training board.”
CITB-ConstructionSkills helps construction firms in England, Scotland and Wales with all aspects of recruitment, training and qualifications of its workforce.
