HR recruitment

Published: 22 August 2008

Employers are demanding generalist HR professionals over specialists, according to the managing director of Hays HR.

Heidi Waddington, managing director at Hays HR, told Recruiter that companies were now seeking HR staff proficient in a number of disciplines rather than specialists.

Waddington said: “People are looking more at recruiting HR business partners that have a broader set of skills. If people do have to deal with redundancies, restructuring, recruitment, change management, they want people that can wear lots of different hats. Clients are looking at their talent pool before they recruit.“
