HR professionals are most likely to be ill as a result of work, a new survey has revealed.
The survey, from mutual healthcare provider Benenden Healthcare, revealed that 29% of HR professionals claimed to have been ill as a result of work, while 56% admitted to being run down as a result of work.
The same percentage of professional service firm workers had been ill due to work followed by manufacturing and finance sector workers.
Paul Keenan, from Benenden Healthcare, said: “This research reveals there are huge numbers of people who get stressed and ill due to their jobs. This is a particular concern in the current economic climate, where people feel under more pressure to work hard and prove their worth to their bosses.”
