Recruitment giants Vedior and FiveTen Group swept the board at the Recruiter Awards, picking up seven awards between them.

FiveTen did the treble, with subsidiary brands Laurence Simons International being voted the Best Legal Recruitment Firm and EMR the Best Marketing Recruitment Firm. And WH Marks Sattin received the Best Financial Services & Banking Recruitment Firm award.

Meanwhile, Vedior went one better with a haul of four awards for its brands: Joslin Rowe was voted the Best Office Support Firm; Bob Wicks, chairman of the Verb Group, won the Gary Clark Individual Achievement Award; MajorPlayers was the Best Medium to Large Recruitment Firm to Work For; and Digby Morgan the Best Human Resources Recruitment Firm.

David Rooney, FiveTen’s chief executive for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, told Recruiter:  “We are absolutely thrilled that the three FiveTen Group companies nominated all won their respective awards.

“Our acquisition criteria includes an absolute commitment to service and quality, and winning these awards is a clear indication that we are acquiring the best businesses in the sector, which delivers first-class service to candidates and clients alike.

“The greatest praise must be reserved for the management teams at WH Marks Sattin, EMR and Laurence Simons International whose professionalism, hard work, talent and commitment to their people mark them out as real leaders.

“The group has big plans for the future and these awards confirm we’ve got the right talent around the group to deliver them.”

Brian Wilkinson, managing director of Vedior’s Commonwealth Zone, said they were “thrilled and very proud” that companies in the group had been honoured.

He told Recruiter: “Digby Morgan, Joslin Rowe, and Major Players each have a different business focus, but what they do share is a strong commitment to quality of service in the  sectors in which they operate.

“The individual recognition for Bob Wicks is especially gratifying and well deserved.”
