Trade bodies have welcomed Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s aim to extend certain employment rights to the self-employed but say more support is needed.

Corbyn yesterday set out his aim to extend statutory maternity and paternity pay to the self-employed “so all new-born children get the same level of care from their parents”.
